Vida Khavar collaborates with different child welfare agencies throughout the country to assist them in building or enhancing already existing programs. These may include: foster care, treatment foster care, independent living programs, group homes and residential treatment. Vida strives to bring Permanency as center stage in all different areas of child welfare, so that more children and families can benefit from services that focus on positive well being outcomes for children and families involved in the foster care system.
Vida Khavar offers leadership consultation, accreditation coaching and training to many of the agencies she works with. She specializes in Organizational Management and Performance Excellence for Social Services including Team-Based Culture and Process-Based Management. One of Vida's priority is to transform the platform on which non profit agencies, public and private sector companies operate by creating a community that embraces collaborations and working together toward a better future for not only the children and families they serve, but also for their staff and leadership.
Vida also developed, implemented and evaluated a $13.1 million federal grant initiative funded by the Children’s Bureau, RISE with the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. She currently uses her expertise in this area to train organizations throughout the country in becoming SOGIE and LGTBQIA+ competent.
